A note to December 8, 2006 from June 8, 2007

Dear Friends and Family,

If you are at all familiar with this website you have become accustomed to seeing pictures of Thomas sitting in our large family room chair on each of his monthly birthdays. Long ago, Liz and I decided that we would increase the interval from monthly to semi-annually once Thomas reached twenty-four months. This means, that today, Thomas' second birthday, would have been the last of the monthly photographs.

Would have been, that is, if we had actually taken the the photographs of Thomas in the chair on this day. Unfortunately we did not. It was an oversite caused largely by our mutual fatigue and ill health. Thomas and Liz were recovering from the flu discussed in the previous post and I was mired in the end of my last quarter of school, and on the verge of coming down with the very same flu. Liz and I discussed the possibility of putting Thomas in the chair a day or two (or even a week or two) after his birthday and just fibbing the date. Obviously that did not happen.

So, there are no photographs of Thomas in the chair on his second birthday. There are however many photographs of Thomas on his birthday and the following birthday weekend..
