Christmas in Hawaii

Before Thomas was born, Liz and I had a tradition of spending the Christmas holiday on the island of Kaua'i. Over the years various family members have joined us. It has always been a great trip full of long slow meals, long slow walks, and long peaceful naps by the pool. I loved it. This year we decided to return with our two year old. It was a trip full of short fast meals, short fast sprints, and no naps by the pool. I'm writing this six months later, and I'm still bitter.
